Oz Lotto Powerball jackpot $80m, draw details, winning numbers, results

One lucky person has pulled out the $80 million Powerball jackpot, the biggest prize awarded this year. Check out the lucky number here.

A West Australian has pulled out an $80 million Powerball jackpot, the biggest prize this year.

Little is known so far about the lucky winner or if they even knew about their life-changing victory.

The numbers you needed this week were 27, 30, 4, 5, 33, 26, 19 and Powerball was 8.

Jeremy Hubble, Acting CEO of LotteryWest, said he was thrilled the winner was from WA.

“We have rewritten the history books for WA Lotto tonight with this incredible result,” he said.

“It also contributes to the rapidly growing number of Division One winners across the state reaching 64 in 2021.”

Only two people across Australia have won more than $80 million in lotto history, $107 million and $96 million, both in Sydney and in 2019.

Earlier this year, a Melbourne sweeper won a similar amount, $80 million, after losing her job during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This means that the Western Australian winner is the third highest in the history of this country.

The prize has climbed to such a huge number after six consecutive weeks of no one getting lucky.

One ticket has a one in 134 million chance of winning the $80 million jackpot.

However, a Melbourne father managed to overcome those hurdles in August when he took the entire property with him earlier this year.

A cleaner from northern Melbourne won a massive cash prize in August, the biggest ever this year and the third highest ever in Australia.

Lott revealed that the newly minted millionaire was a middle-aged father who lost his job due to the coronavirus pandemic and was working as a cleaner to survive.

“I’m so excited. I checked my ticket late last night. I couldn’t sleep after that,” the family man told The Lott.

“I lost my job in Melbourne during one of the many lockdowns. We had just bought a house and didn’t see it coming.

“I’ve been working as a cleaner ever since to take care of my needs.

“Like so many others, these lockdowns have been really tough for our family.

“But I’ve always said, you just have to keep trying. Now look what happened.”

He said that he was going to use the staggering amount of money to give his children a head start in life.

“I’m definitely going to pay the mortgage and other bills that we have to start over,” he said. “We’re going to set our kids up for life.”

One in four Australian adults are expected to enter this week’s $80 million draw.

In the last $80 million Powerball draw, ticket sales peaked after 5 p.m. on the day of the draw, with more than 4,000 tickets sold every minute.

Dr. Stephen Woodcock, senior lecturer in the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at UTS, previously told news.com.au that the odds were not in your favor.

According to Dr Woodcock, you are more likely to be able to select two random Australians and find that both have been bitten by a snake in the past year – an occurrence with a one in 62 million chance – than to win the lottery. In.

For females, you are more likely to get pregnant with quintuplets, which comes with a one in 55 million chance, while finding two wild oysters that both contain pearls will have a one in a million chance.
