Laxman to join NCA on December 13, will travel with U-19s for World Cup, Cooley’s appointment ratified | Cricket News

Mumbai: Great batting VVS Laxman will be attending NCA On 13 December his appointment as head of cricket, along with other coaches, was confirmed by the general body of BCCI on Saturday.
With the appointment of Laxman, former Australia and England bowling coach Troy Cooley as the fast bowling coach of National Cricket Academy, was finalized during the Annual General Meeting at Kolkata.
“Laxman’s contract has already been signed. His last media assignment is the second Test between New Zealand and India. He will join Bengaluru from December 13. He will be in the West Indies for a fixed period for the Under-19 ICC World cup,” a senior BCCI functionary, privy to the development, told PTI after the meeting.
He informed that Hrishikesh Kanitkar or Sitanshu Kotak, one of the NCA coaches, will act as the head coach for the Under-19 global event.
“We have also finalized all the coaching appointments of NCA and the roadmap has been drawn up,” he said.
