iPhone 13: Elly Awesome shares hidden iPhone tricks most people don‘t know

Think you’re an iPhone expert? Take a look at these “mind-blowing” hidden tricks to improve your game on the latest iOS.

Surprisingly, the iPhone has tons of hidden features, as well as helpful built-in short cuts that you might have missed.

They are all present in your iOS device, just waiting to be unlocked. so here are more helpful iPhone and iPad Tips And the tricks I’ve found you’ll thank me for.

organization hack

I bet you know you can move apps around on your app iphone screen, Place apps in folders and even move apps to different pages on your iPhone. It’s a great way to organize your device and often people will group apps by genres like gaming, productivity, social media or finance to find their apps faster.

As a refresher, to move apps around, just tap and hold any app and start dragging it around the screen. Doing so will start jiggling all your apps, known as jiggle mode, where they become movable.

Now, while holding this app still, you can either drop it on top of another to create a folder, or drag the app to the right edge of the screen until the next page appears, where you Can ‘let go’ the app. This.

But what if you want to transfer more than one app at once? Not many people know you can do this but it is such a time saver – it’s called building a ‘stack’.

To do this, again, tap and hold an app (you may need to move it around a bit) until your apps start to vibrate.

Then while keeping your finger on the app, use the other finger to tap other apps around it – all of which will pile up on top of the app you’re holding. Once you have your apps stacked you can move them around in one go.

Crazy Hidden PDF Feature

This next crazy feature has me blown away and it’s something I’ve discovered lately. You can convert any web page into a PDF document and save it to your device!

To do this, start by browsing in Safari on your iphone or ipad, then look for the share icon (it looks like a square with an arrow pointing up and probably at the bottom of your screen).

Tap on this icon and a share menu will pop up but look for the word ‘Options’ at the top of this menu. Once you tap on ‘Options’ you will be prompted to choose from ‘Send As – Automate, PDF or Web Archive’ – Choose PDF and select ‘Done’.

Now when you want to send the web page to anyone through the share menu it will become a PDF document.

You can send it via AirDrop, Message, Email or if you look for the ‘Save to Files’ option it will save the PDF to your device (located in the Files app).

To find files you want to exit Safari, drag your finger down from the top of your screen to your regular apps to reveal a Search tab. Now search for the word ‘Files’ – the app icon is white and has a blue folder on it. Here you will get the PDF, if it is not there then search in the file app.

This is such a useful feature, especially for students who are collecting documents for research that may need to be printed to read.

Emergency Contact

Lastly, my favorite hidden feature is called ‘Emergency Bypass’ which allows you to select the contacts in your iPhone that can bypass your phone on silent or do not disturb mode. Why would you want this?

Well, this means that a child or even an elderly family member is always able to contact you, no matter what mode your phone is set to.

To give you a direct line to these particular contacts, go to the Contacts app, tap on their name, click ‘Edit’ in the top right corner, scroll down and tap ‘Ringtone’, then turn on ‘Emergency Bypass’ . In this menu you can also change the vibration pattern or choose a ringtone specifically for this person.
