Female Autobarn airs frustration at male customers

A female Autoborn employee has expressed her frustration at customers believing she can’t help them with their car problems.

A female Autoborn employee who has expressed her frustration at customers admitting she can’t help them with their car problems gained buckets of traction in a Tik Tok video shared last week.

Jansu, who is an auto enthusiast with thousands of followers on her social media channels, posted clips of her answering calls from customers seeking car parts.

In one clip, she takes the call of a “potential customer” who doesn’t believe she can answer his question about the need for “something” for her vehicle.

Calls are staged for comic effect.

“When you are a girl working at an auto-parts store. Who else does this?” she captioned the video.

“Great, what did you want?” She then asks the “customer”.

“Oh look, sorry, I don’t think you’d know about it to be honest,” she’s told. “I’ll just talk to a guy”.

“Okay, no worries,” she answers, the phone line rustles and then mimics a man’s voice.

“Hey, how can I help?” She says in a very deep pitch.

The fake customer asks him if they had a car wash.

“Yes brother, we have.”

Jansu’s video prompted a slew of comments from women working in similarly “male-dominated” retail franchises dealing with comments about their gender.

“I work at EB Games as a woman,” said one user.

“Girls who work at Bunnings will understand,” commented another.

I worked at Superchip Auto and I use the intercom to call (sic) ‘Can I get a male team member to assist a customer who won’t talk to a woman?'” Another wrote.
